Update on the Number of Sunda Strait Tsunami Victims: 430 Killed, 159 Missing

kolom indo. Jakarta - BNPB continues to update information on the number of victims caused by the tsunami that hit Banten and Lampung. The death toll increased by 1 from yesterday to 430 people.

"A total of 430 people died, 1,495 were injured, 159 people were missing," said BNPB Head of Data, Information and Public Relations Sutopo Purwo Nugroho told reporters on Wednesday (12/26/2018).

In addition, there were 21,991 people displaced by the incident on Saturday night (12/22). The most victims are in Pandeglang, Banten.

"In Pandeglang there were 290 people killed, 1,143 injured, 77 people missing, and 17,477 people were displaced," said Sutopo.

The emergency response period for Pandeglang Regency is set to 4 January 2018. Meanwhile, for South Lampung it is set to 29 December 2018.
