Dozens of Houses in Lebak Banten Flooded

Two flood-hit sub-districts, namely Banjarsari and Cimarga Subdistricts. In Banjarsari, there are 4 villages affected by the flood. The most severe village is Keusik Village.

"The height varies (highest) by 1 meter. In Banjarsari, Keusik Village 455 houses, Ciruji Village 20 houses, Umbul Jaya Village 33 houses then Cidahu Village 67 houses," said Head of Lebak Regency BPBD, Kaprawi when confirmed on Wednesday (12/26) / 2018).

Whereas in Cimarga, according to a report received by BPBD there was one village namely Inten Jaya which was affected by the flood. 75 houses were submerged due to continuous rain.



"Then in Inten Jaya village, Cimarga 72 sub-district was submerged," he said.

Residents affected by the floods reportedly did not evacuate, they fled to neighboring homes or relatives who were not affected by the flood.

"If the refuge language is usually reluctant to evacuate and as a protector, we continue to prepare such matters in accordance with the direction of the Bupati, we carry out maximum rescue efforts," he said.



BPBD is currently still carrying out data collection and efforts to save people first. After that, clothing and food assistance will be sent to the affected area.

"The second is fulfilling basic needs. So we are the first human beings that we secure, after the new safe we ​​carry out fulfill their basic needs," he said.
