The Sunda Strait Tsunami Has Been Defined As a District Disaster

id Utama. Jakarta - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) announces the district disaster designation for the tsunami in the Sunda Strait. Local governments are able to deal with the impact of disasters.

"So the status of the disaster disaster in the district, there is no national disaster discourse. The district government is able to undertake. The regional head really is in the field. The central government strengthens logistics," said BNPB Head of Data and Public Relations Sutopo Purwo Nugroho in his office, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/25/2018).


Sutopo stressed that there was no discourse on national disaster determination. Local governments are not paralyzed, the central government is also fully helpful.

"Local governments are able to overcome, national potential is also ready to handle this disaster," he said.

- 41 damaged 2-wheeled vehicles

- 1 damaged shelter
